We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerospace Product Manager to join our team at SGS. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of aerospace contracts on time, within budget, and in accordance with internal and accreditation requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain Accreditation Requirements: Ensure SGS United Kingdom Limited maintains and adheres to accreditation requirements, including ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and ISO 45000.
- Conduct Professional Audits: Plan and conduct professional management system audits in accordance with SGS procedures to enable delivery of assessment and certification services that meet customer requirements and appropriate accreditation standards.
- Develop Procedures and Resources: Maintain and further develop procedures and resources for the profitable delivery of aerospace certification.
- Provide Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise, support, and training where required to Technical & Accreditation Manager, SGS UK aerospace auditors, affiliates, and line Manager.
- Expand Product and Service Range: Expand the range of products and services delivered in the sector and support sales activities.
- Project Management: Project manage key clients as required.
- Maintain Sector Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date sector knowledge and expertise, and cascade this to other auditing staff.
- Research and Develop Procedures: Research, develop, and maintain product procedures, quality plans, briefing notes, and guidance notes.
- Assist Certification Managers: Assist Certification Managers to ensure appropriate endorsement of product qualification records for the aerospace standards.
- Adhere to Accredited Office Responsibilities: Adhere to the accredited office's responsibilities stated in the supporting office agreements with the relevant affiliates.
- Source and Train Sub-Contracted Staff: In conjunction with the Certification managers, source, manage, and train sub-contracted staff to assist in the delivery of certification work in the product.
- Expand Client Base: Seek opportunities to expand the client base in conjunction with the Sales Manager and Client Managers.
- Liaise with Professional Bodies: Liaise as necessary with professional bodies and organizations to protect and develop the company's commercial and technical interests in the sector.
- Essential Requirements: Demonstrate strong working knowledge and experience of ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and ISO 45000. Registered Lead Auditor AS9100/AS9120/AS9110. Extensive experience within the aerospace industry. Experience of working under own initiative and in planning and prioritizing workloads.
- Desirable Requirements: Registered on OASIS as an AEA (Aerospace Experienced Auditor). Experience of managing and leading teams. Developing Quality Management systems. Previous aerospace project management experience is advantageous. Degree, Post Grad Diploma, MSc, or equivalent in a relevant subject is advantageous.
