Mechanical First Line Manager

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership position at our Devonport Royal Dockyard site. As a Mechanical First Line Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of skilled workers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising a team of Mechanical Fitters to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment and adhering to health, safety, and environment standards.
  • Developing and implementing effective work processes and quality control measures.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to your team.
  • Delivering project objectives on time and to the required quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A good understanding of health and safety processes associated with production activities.
  • Experience in supervising a team or be willing to learn.
  • Knowledge of repair, replace, overhaul, and maintenance processes.
  • Strong leadership qualities and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A good understanding of mechanical aspects.
