Corporate Tax Specialist

About the Role:As a Corporate Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of corporate tax returns and computations, as well as managing the corporation tax compliance process. You will work closely with the Corporation Tax team to deliver high-quality tax services and provide support to other junior staff as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation of corporation tax computations and returns for a designated portfolio of clients.
- Support the corporation tax compliance cycle, including tracking and managing filing and payment deadlines.
- Integrate with the audit process where necessary to assist in preparing tax provisions and disclosures for statutory accounts.
- Use tax software to prepare and generate tax returns and computations, with training provided as needed.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information for tax compliance and to respond to routine tax queries.
- Prepare draft correspondence to clients concerning their tax affairs, under the supervision of senior staff.
- Assist in preparing responses to HMRC enquiries into clients' tax matters.
- Liaise with HMRC on routine and general client matters, ensuring professional communication.
- At least one year of experience in a tax-related role, ideally with some exposure to corporation tax.
- Part-qualified ATT or similar qualification, with a commitment to further study (e.g., CTA).
- Basic understanding of corporation tax compliance and related accounting principles.
- High level of accuracy in preparing tax returns and managing compliance records.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, and tax software.
