Clinical Studies Coordinator Role

At Cancer Research UK, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized Clinical Studies Coordinator to join our Centre for Drug Development team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting project teams by coordinating internal and external meetings, creating and maintaining clinical trial files, and preparing start-up documents.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting clinical trial set up activities by creating/maintaining clinical trial files, including Trial Master Files (TMFs), Investigator Trial Files (ITFs), Pharmacy Files (PF), Laboratory Files, and in-house electronic files.
  • Preparing start up documents in conjunction with the Clinical Study Manager (CSM) and Clinical Research Associate (CRA).
  • Ordering and distributing essential documents such as protocols, investigator brochures, and clinical study reports to investigational sites, maintaining recipient logs/trackers to ensure availability of current documentation.
  • Co-ordinating pharmacokinetic (PK), pharmacodynamic (PD) and biopsy sample shipments for timely delivery and analysis.
  • Filing and Archiving of Clinical Trial Documents.


We are looking for a motivated life sciences student with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, good teamwork skills, a keen eye for detail, good time management skills, and a sound knowledge of Microsoft packages.

The ideal candidate will be in their 2nd year of undergraduate study at university and have a strong interest in drug development and oncology clinical trials.
