Information Security Architect

Simmons & Simmons LLP is seeking an experienced Information Security Architect to join our team in Bristol. As a key member of our Security Architecture team, you will work closely with our architects, IT and business stakeholders to design and implement security controls, protecting systems and services across the firm.
Key Responsibilities:- Analysis and Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough analysis of real-world problems, considering all relevant information, and effectively communicate security and risk implications to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Enabling and Informing Risk-Based Decisions: Work with risk owners to advise and provide feedback on pragmatic risk mitigation options, considering business requirements, user experience, and resource and investment overheads.
- Understanding Security Implications of Transformation: Interpret and apply understanding of policy and process, business architecture, and legal and political implications to assist in the development of technical solutions or controls.
- Knowledge of enterprise IT application technologies, including a demonstrated track record in securing infrastructure applications such as the Microsoft Application Stack.
- Experience with data centre technologies, such as virtualisation (VMWare) and working with third-party IaaS/private cloud providers.
- 5-10 years' experience in information security, architecture, and IT risk management.
- Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Information security certifications may be advantageous.
- An understanding of the ITIL framework is desirable.
