Money Support Advisor Role

Location: Agile / Boston

Salary: £25,403 per annum

We are seeking a skilled Money Support Advisor to join our successful Income Recovery Team in Boston. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting our Income officers in the collection of income by providing a comprehensive support service to customers in the collection of arrears and dealing with customer enquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work collaboratively with the Income Team to achieve excellent customer-focused services through prompt and consistent income recovery interventions.
  2. Manage a portfolio of cases and support customers in arrears, including:
    1. Maximising household income
    2. Resolving benefit problems
    3. Reducing debts to LHP
    4. Providing direct money advice and management skills
    5. Providing personal budgeting management and skills
    6. Setting up basic Bank accounts
    7. Setting up appropriate payment methods
  3. Maintain clear and concise case records and accurate performance and statistical data.
  4. Ensure legal compliance of all LHP policies and procedures in the income recovery process.
  5. Establish, maintain and foster positive working relationships with customers, local courts, and stakeholders.
Requirements:Effective partnership working skills, including relationship building, negotiation and influencing.Desirable:
  1. Experience working within a housing or public sector environment.
  2. Knowledge or experience of applying income recovery procedures and the application of legislation through legal enforcement processes.
