Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assessor to join our Innovative Medicines team within the Healthcare, Quality and Access group.

This is a full-time opportunity on a permanent basis, with the role based in our London office.

We are implementing a flexible, hybrid way of working, with a minimum of 8 days per month working on site to enable collaboration and contact with partners and stakeholders needed to deliver MHRA business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the clinical and regulatory aspects of marketing authorisation applications for chemical or biological products, in a variety of therapeutic fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clinical and regulatory aspects of marketing authorisation applications
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with external stakeholders
  • Contribute to and influence assessment policy and practice
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Degree in Medicine with a relevant postgraduate qualification
  • Registration with the General Medical Council
  • Up-to-date evidence of specialist level knowledge in one or more relevant scientific areas
  • Clinical, academic or pharmaceutical medicine experience
  • Ability to critically analyse complex scientific information
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills

We offer a competitive salary of £70,011, plus a contribution towards membership of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
