Electrical Systems Maintenance Specialist

Location: Llanwern, Newport

Salary: £39,200 including shift allowance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults to ensure seamless manufacturing processes.
  2. Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and safety checks to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  3. Collaborate with our engineering and manufacturing teams to improve system performance and recommend upgrades.
  4. Supervise contractor personnel, maintaining safety and quality standards.
  5. Work with modern electrical systems, including PLCs, Drives, and AC & DC motor circuitry.
Requirements:

Ideally, you will have an ONC qualification or equivalent, typically gained through an apprenticeship in electrical engineering or a Modern Apprenticeship certificate. Previous experience working with electrical systems in a manufacturing environment is a must. You will also need strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to manage tasks independently and under pressure.
