We are seeking an exceptional Senior Leader to join our team at Wishmore Cross Academy as Vice Principal in charge of SEND. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of young people.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of SEND and a wealth of experience in working with children with diverse needs. They will be adept at working collaboratively with parents, external agencies, and colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for our pupils.

As a seasoned Senior Leader, you will have a proven track record of success within a school setting, ideally as part of a Senior Management Team or as a Middle Leader. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating innovative and evidence-based provision for children who have identified special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support children with SEND
  • Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and other professionals to ensure seamless delivery of SEND provision
  • Collaborate with parents and external agencies to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and provide regular progress updates
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attendance
