Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to join our team at ASSA ABLOY. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the finance function across our Door Group, providing strong leadership and developing systems and processes to support improved management of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of Business Unit realistic and achievable plans and targets, ensuring the company delivers its commitments.
- Responsible for the production of all financial information of the Door Group to the Group and to the senior and operational management of the company.
- Responsible for the construction accounting process to ensure that full visibility of projects, in terms of sales and profitability, are available at every stage of their life cycle.
- Actively seek methods to enhance the overall efficiency and performance of projects, interrogating data in system processes for accuracy and reliability.
- Review of all financial reporting processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of internal reporting.
- Responsible for the development and delivery of improved IT systems to support seamless and accurate financial management from specification to cash collection, and in support of better operating practices.
- Cash flow management.
- Ensure strong financial governance through effective controls within the financial processes, improving or introducing new processes where applicable.
- Prepare, monitor and maintain monthly/quarterly/annual department and business unit forecasts and budgets.
- Preparation and control of the monthly management accounts, in line with tight Group deadlines.
- Control and reconciliation of business unit balance sheet.
- To support all statutory and legislative financial requirements, including statutory audits, HMRC and Irish Revenue Commission, NISRA and DFP.
- Adhere to all Group reporting requirements and deadlines.
- Assess and reduce the company's exposure to financial risk.
Requirements:
- Hold a qualification in Accountancy (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Previous experience on a senior finance role is essential.
- Has functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
- Preferably have experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics AX or NAV.
- Strong IT skills, including PowerPoint and Excel to an advanced level.
- Have experience in Manufacturing and/or Construction.
- Have successfully worked to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Have the ability to build strong relationships and influence individuals/teams at different levels across the organisation.
- Have excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
- Good at figuring out the processes necessary to get things done.
- Understands how to separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow.
- Knows what to measure and how to measure it.
- Can see opportunities for synergy and integration where others can't.
- Can simplify complex processes.
