Highways Safety Director

Job Summary:
Carrington West is seeking an experienced Highways Safety Director to lead safety initiatives across local authority projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to ensure that critical infrastructure projects are delivered safely and in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement robust health & safety policies, ensuring all practices align with legislative requirements.
* Conduct thorough risk assessments, audits, and site inspections, identifying potential hazards and implementing preventative measures.
* Collaborate with local authorities, contractors, and project teams to foster a strong safety culture.
* Provide expert advice on health & safety during the planning, design, and execution stages of highways projects.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven track record in health & safety management within the highways or infrastructure sector.
* In-depth knowledge of UK health & safety regulations.
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification is essential.
