We are partnering with a leading manufacturing firm to appoint a seasoned SHEQ Manager. As a SHEQ Manager, you will oversee the implementation of top-tier SHEQ standards across all operations, driving continuous improvement and best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead SHEQ compliance initiatives, engaging teams to uphold standards and drive performance enhancements
  • Develop comprehensive risk assessments, creating and executing action plans to mitigate risks
  • Design and implement an effective SHEQ induction programme for site personnel, including employees, contractors, and visitors
  • Train and mentor teams to lead SHEQ efforts within their areas, empowering them to take ownership of safety and health
  • Align SHEQ policies with business needs and legislative requirements, ensuring compliance and excellence
  • Foster a prioritized safety culture by enhancing SHEQ awareness across the business
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the SHEQ agenda and drive continuous improvement
  • Integrate health and safety controls into equipment upgrades and installations
  • Conduct regular inspections and random audits, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Liaise with regulators to ensure seamless site audits and inspections
  • Manage timely reporting, investigation, and resolution of incidents and near misses

Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) in Occupational H&S/NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years' Health and Safety experience, with a minimum of 3 years in manufacturing, preferably in heavy industry
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9000 standards
  • Proficient in MS Office with excellent reporting and numerical skills
  • Experienced in all Health and Safety aspects, including policy maintenance, risk assessment, training, audits, and incident reporting

Estimated Salary: £62,000 - £72,000 per annum
