Job Title: Construction Manager

Join our team at Bilfinger UK, a leading engineering and maintenance provider, as a Construction Manager. We are seeking an experienced professional to manage the development and delivery of EPC activities, ensuring time, cost, quality, and HSE targets are met.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Construction Manager to lead our construction team in delivering projects to the highest standards. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in civil and electrical construction, site management, and execution. They will be responsible for assessing tenders, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with NEC4 forms of contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure Safety, Health & Environmental protection are given the highest priority throughout all construction activities.
  2. Establish and lead the project HSE Team to manage HSE activities throughout the construction and commissioning phases of the project.
  3. Act as the Principal Contractor under the CDM Regulations.
  4. Ensure construction hazards are managed throughout the project.
  5. Implement appropriate quality systems for the control of construction information.
  6. Identify and manage all key construction risks to minimise their impact on the project.
  7. Manage and lead the construction team to successfully deliver the project requirements.
  8. Liaise with the key customer plant personnel to ensure the construction plan is consistent with current standards and local requirements.
  9. Provide appropriate construction support for commissioning.
  10. Define the construction estimate and manage expenditure within the agreed budget.
  11. Ensure construction meets appropriate quality standards supported by agreed test requirements.
  12. Ensure that the Project Manager and other project management resources are informed of progress and any issues as appropriate.
Requirements:
  1. Extensive experience required of being involved in EPC contracts (Civil & Construction).
  2. Managing budgets / Financial controls.
  3. Subcontractor management.
  4. Accredited CSCS.
  5. NEC4 Accredited Project Manager (desirable).
