Job Overview

Service Care Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Chartered Civil Engineer to join our team as a Highways and Drainage Design Professional. This is a full-time, permanent role that offers a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum.

The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring graduate engineers and engineering technicians to assist on existing workload and develop their skillsets to meet the required needs and demands of our clients and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure best practices are applied within the office and assist the Directors with improving design services and operational efficiency.
  • Minimum three years' experience within Highways and Drainage design, with proficient use of AutoCAD and Causeway Flow or equivalent design software.
  • Producing detailed drainage and highway calculations and sketches, following principals outlined in CIRIA design guides.
  • BRE digest, BS EN752, and the Design and Construction Guidance.
  • Working experience within the adoptable standards Section 278, Section 38, and 104.
  • Commercial awareness of costing, budgets, and quotations.
  • Report writing and site visits to verify construction complies with construction drawings.
  • Preparing specifications.

Requirements:

  • Chartered with either CIWEM, ICE, and/or CIHT.
