Job Title: Anaesthetics Theatres/obstetrics Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Anaesthetics Theatres/obstetrics Specialist to join our team at the NHS. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients undergoing anaesthesia and surgery, with a focus on obstetrics and gynaecology.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide anaesthetic services to patients undergoing surgery, including obstetric and gynaecological procedures.
  • Work closely with other medical and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in clinical governance and audit activities to improve patient outcomes and services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • MB BS (or equivalent) and registration with the GMC.
  • On the specialist register or within 6 months of acquiring CCT.
  • ALS/APLS/ATLS or NLS provider or instructor.
  • Additional postgraduate qualifications in anaesthesia or a related field.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in regional anaesthesia and major surgery.
  • Knowledge of perioperative medicine and its application in anaesthesia.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
