The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Marine Engineer to join its team at Barry Dock Lifeboat Station.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a strong background in marine diesel engines and wants to take on a leadership role within the RNLI.

As a Senior Station Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the lifeboat, as well as supervising a team of volunteers. This is a challenging but rewarding role that requires excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to motivate and inspire others.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of volunteers to maintain and repair the lifeboat
  • Ensuring the lifeboat is always operational and ready for service
  • Providing technical support and guidance to colleagues

You will need to have a strong background in marine engineering, with experience in the maintenance and repair of marine diesel engines. You should also have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

We offer a competitive salary of £34,253 - £40,298 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Other benefits include 26 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays, an outstanding pension scheme, life assurance, health and dental cash plan, and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and respected organization.
