About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Administration Team in the Emergency Department at Macclesfield District General Hospital.

This part-time role involves providing exceptional customer care services, ensuring the smooth running of the department, and supporting clinical and managerial staff.

As an administrative support professional, you will be responsible for attending and discharging patients from A&E, processing emergency ward admissions, and contributing to the accuracy of data collection.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality customer care services to patients and their families
  • Support the clinical team with administration tasks, including patient admissions and discharges
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports
  • Contribute to the development of effective systems and processes within the department

Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • NVQ 3 in Customer Care or Administration or Equivalent
  • Understanding of data protection act
  • Knowledge of hospital IT patient systems
  • Awareness of current NHS policies and targets

Working Hours:

This is a part-time role, requiring flexibility to work over 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Salary:

£21,400 - £23,100 per annum (dependent on experience)
