Player Protection Officer

At Buzz Bingo, we are seeking a highly skilled Player Protection Officer to join our Risk & Compliance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in protecting our players and business from known and evolving risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for triaging escalated cases of fraudulent activity from Playtech Turnkey Services (PTTS)
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements and guidelines, including the Act, POCA, TACT, LCCP, and other relevant legislation
  • Conduct forensic profiling of customer accounts and open-source footprints to build risk-based assessments
  • Engage in compassionate and meaningful interactions with customers to understand their circumstances and make informed decisions
  • Move customers through Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) procedures where necessary, including requesting and analyzing Source of Funds/Source of Wealth (SOF/SOW)
  • Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping of regulatory reportable activities
  • Collaborate with operational teams to provide a seamless safe gambling environment for customers
  • Provide regular reports and escalate cases requiring management attention
Requirements:
  • Previous online experience in a regulated environment, preferably in iGaming/Bingo/Casino/Finance
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and guidelines
  • Experience with Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and report compilation
  • Ambitious personal drive, objective thinking, and sound judgment
  • Analytical and investigative mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to build effective relationships and approach difficult conversations
