Experienced Band 7 Community Psychiatric Nurse Required

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Band 7 Community Psychiatric Nurse to take on a new ongoing contract role.
Location: South Camden - R&R Team
Pay Rate: £27 per hour (assignment rate)
Contract Type: Locum
Working hours: Monday – Friday 9 - 5
Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
- Experience working as a Mental Health Nurse
- NMC Registration
- Extensive experience of professional leadership in a clinical/team setting.
- A track record of delivering care in accordance with best practice guidelines in their service area and have led on the completion of audits and/or supporting research.
- Be able to competently use computers and keyboards for entering personally generated data, generating and responding to emails, conducting web searches, storing data and retrieving data, producing reports, etc.
- Provide evidence-based interventions to service users within South Camden Rehabilitation and Recovery Service as per their treatment plan.
- Carry a caseload of the most complex service users within the South Camden Rehabilitation and Recovery Service, in addition to acting as the lead practitioner for the service, providing senior leadership and consultation to nurses and other allied professionals within the team.
- The post holder will be required to have significant clinical skill and knowledge of nursing interventions, particularly in the care and treatment of psychosis.
- Demonstrate a clear professional understanding and practical experience of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act, and their application/use in practice.
- Demonstrate understanding and experience of utilising a variety of assessment tools as well as service specialist tools in practice in relation to assessment, planning care needs, and assessing and managing clinical risks.
- Sound practical experience of patient/service user care and engagement within the wider context of the organisation.
- Experience of supporting staff through change and fostering a culture of continuous service improvement.
