Job Title: EHS Manager - Upstream Chemicals Specialist

Consult is seeking a highly skilled EHS Manager to join our team in the Upstream Chemicals sector. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the Safety, Health, Environmental, Industrial Quality, Security, and Regulatory requirements for our UK operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and technical advice to plants, projects, and UK corporate offices on SHE and Industrial Quality systems.
  • Lead and manage the SHEQ&S teams to ensure legislative compliance and sustain/improve SHEQ&S standards.
  • Identify, define, and implement SHEQ&S policies, standards, processes, and procedures to achieve world-class performance.
  • Monitor and assess potential future Safety, Health, Security, Industrial Quality, and Environmental issues to determine their impact on business strategy.
  • Manage regulatory licenses and permits, including COMAH, EPR, and climate change levy, to ensure sites can operate legally.
  • Maintain oversight and provide direction for process safety management and behavioral safety improvement processes.
  • Develop and implement a technical training and competence management system to ensure technical and operational staff are trained and competent.
Requirements:
  • Graduate in chemical or scientific discipline.
  • Professional safety and health qualification, such as NEBOSH diploma.
  • Established technical background with 10 years' experience in production or operations environment and 3 years in a regulatory position for an upper-tier COMAH site.
  • Proven experience with management systems, including design, implementation, and auditing.
  • Technical competence in process safety, environmental regulation, and occupational safety.
