Workshop Team Lead

About the Role:
As a Workshop Controller at Halfords, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the Workshop team on a daily basis. This includes supervising the team, allocating tasks, and ensuring the team is working towards commercial priorities and customer expectations.
Key responsibilities include holding daily huddles, providing technical support when needed, and promoting the Halfords Values within the team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business with a focus on motoring services and electric mobility.
Key Requirements:
- Technically trained to Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance standard or equivalent time served
- Experience of managing/supervising a team/workshop to drive performance and delivery
- Excellent customer approach - ability to communicate clearly and simply to customers
- Experience of developing colleagues through delivery of technical training
- Experience of exceeding customer metrics - working with management to support in driving key metrics and KPI's
- Experience of meeting compliance standards across Health and Safety and quality
- Experience of labour force scheduling, with proven time management skills
- Must hold a current full valid driving licence
