Job Role

As a Removals Porter, you will be responsible for safely moving and storing household and office furniture and other items to new premises or via storage.

You will work in small to large teams, depending on the project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Packaging items safely for removal or storage
  • Wrapping and protecting furniture for shipping overseas
  • Disassembling larger items of furniture for packing and removal
  • Removing doors, door frames, or windows to facilitate large furniture movements
  • Loading and securing items in vehicles for transportation
  • Unloading and reassembling items at the new location
  • Unpacking and unwrapping furniture and cartons
Requirements

We are looking for a flexible and reliable individual who can work as and when required.

Moves between longer distances may involve overnight stays in lodgings or in a vehicle.

A driving license is preferred but not essential.

Experience in removals or a similar role is preferred.
