We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team at the Derby Mickleover Hotel, Signature Collection By Best Western.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, including washing and cleaning dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Assist the chefs with food preparation, including peeling and chopping vegetables.
  • Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy, including sweeping and mopping floors, and removing trash and recycling.
  • Receive and store deliveries of food and supplies, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Help set up and close down the kitchen, and assist in the cleaning of cooking equipment and work surfaces.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen team to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Report any maintenance or health and safety issues to the relevant person.

  • Previous experience working as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role.
