Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing operational processes, managing key operations projects, and ensuring that all operational activities align with the company's goals and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Continuously improve operational processes across the business to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability, ensuring that all departments adhere to best practices.
  • Leadership and Management: Supervise the operations of our UK lab and workshop, ensuring safety, efficiency, and the highest standards of quality control. Supervise the Procurement Officer, leading supplier onboarding, including negotiating NDAs, contracts, completing supplier questionnaires, and managing ongoing supplier relationships to ensure effective performance and compliance. Supervise the IT Manager, who manages the IT team and software infrastructure, ensuring robust and secure IT operations that are scalable to support future growth and expansion.
  • Health and Safety: Lead Health and Safety initiatives and ensure compliance across the business.
  • Contract Management: Handle the renewal of client Master Service Agreements (MSAs), ensuring project team awareness and compliance, and manage operational oversight of insurance requirements and renewals.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the other Heads of Function and the Leadership team to ensure the operations function supports project execution effectively.
  • International Expansion: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful establishment and operation of the Boston office, aligning with global operational standards and practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in the medical device or consumer product industries.
  • Education: Degree in a related field.
  • Skills: Experience with SAP Business ByDesign or similar IT system implementations.
