Catering Manager Job Description

Overview
The Life Goddess Store Street Ltd is seeking a skilled Catering Manager to oversee the planning and execution of catering events. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. This role involves managing food production, ensuring food safety standards, and supervising a team of culinary professionals. The Catering Manager will play a crucial role in planning and executing catering events, ensuring that every detail is attended to for a successful outcome. The catering manager will oversee the daily operations of the catering service, ensuring high-quality food and customer service, managing staff and maintaining budgets. Responsibilities include menu planning, cost control, health and safety compliance, staff recruitment and training, event coordination, and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all aspects of catering operations, including event planning, food preparation, and service delivery.
Help develop menus that cater to various dietary requirements while maintaining high culinary standards.
Oversee the culinary team in food production, ensuring quality and presentation meet established guidelines.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all food preparation areas.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing exceptional customer service throughout the planning process.
Manage inventory levels for food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
Train and mentor staff in hospitality best practices, culinary techniques, and customer service skills.
Lead by example in maintaining a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.

Requirements
Proven experience in supervising teams within the restaurant or catering industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of culinary practices, food preparation techniques, and food safety standards.
Excellent organisational skills with a focus on planning and executing successful events.
A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
