We are seeking an experienced Mineralogy Scientist to join our busy laboratory team at SRG. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for carrying out analysis of soil and mineral samples using techniques like gravimetric analysis, FTIR, and XRD.

The successful candidate will have a background in mineralogy and experience with asbestos testing. Training can be provided for those who require it. The role involves reporting analytical results, cross-checking as required, and completing routine laboratory support functions.

Requirements:

  • Relevant scientific degree or equivalent hands-on experience in a similar field
  • Experience of testing such as FTIR, XRD, gravimetric analysis, and asbestos testing
  • Background in mineralogy
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Experience of working efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of a range of ICT including Microsoft Office and databases

Estimated salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.
