Job Title: Maths and English Tutor

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced and passionate Maths and English Tutor to join our team. As a Maths and English Tutor, you will be responsible for creating, planning, and delivering 1:1 tailored lessons to support and re-engage pupils in their learning. Your aim will be to offer structure back into their daily routine, continue their educational development, and aid their return to mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to support Maths and English learning
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of individual pupils
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, making adjustments to lesson plans as needed
  • Provide feedback and guidance to pupils to help them improve their Maths and English skills

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with special educational needs
  • Strong Maths and English skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for teaching and learning
