Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the smooth operation of the facility's automated equipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Team Management: Lead a team of 10-20 engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Fault-Finding and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring uptime.
- Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate team performance, implementing strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Scheduling and Maintenance: Plan and execute scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with CMMS system requirements.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports to management and conduct shift handover meetings to ensure seamless communication.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess:
- Relevant Qualifications: Hold a relevant engineering qualification, such as BTEC, HNC, or Degree.
- Management Experience: Demonstrate 2+ years of management experience, with a proven track record of success.
- Continuous Improvement: Possess a mindset focused on continuous improvement, with a willingness to adapt and evolve.
- Technical Background: Have a background in electrical, mechanical, or electro-mechanical engineering, with experience working with automated systems a plus.
- Shift Work: Be able to work 4 on 4 off shifts, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
