Job Description

The Safety Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with UK QSSHE legislation, codes of practice, guidelines, industry standards and best practices within the SNS operation.

This role involves providing safety engineering support to operations and projects, identifying and mitigating potential hazards, and maintaining accurate records of safety studies and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting in-house safety studies and analyses to identify potential risks and hazards.
  • Facilitating and chairing safety meetings and workshops to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Preparing and submitting technical reports and letters to stakeholders, adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality.

Requirements:

  • A higher technical qualification within an engineering field, such as Process Safety or Chemical Engineering.
  • No less than 10 years of experience in Safety Engineering within the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, specifically Word and Excel, as well as software packages like PHAST, PHA-Pro, BowTie XP, and FLARESIM.

Estimated Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
