Job Title: Sr Financial Accountant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Financial Accountant to join our finance team in St Asaph. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the financial reporting of two manufacturing sites, including statutory accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the completion of monthly financial statement close
- Prepare and record standard and non-routine journal entries and ensure the accuracy of information through monthly analysis and reconciliation
- Prepare and maintain schedules such as external/internal loans, interests and foreign currency valuation, capital/operation lease schedule and evaluation
- Record intercompany transactions and confirmation with other assets
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with preparation of monthly US reporting requirements such as completion of monthly reporting checklists and fluctuations analyses
- Process cash entries not related to accounts payable disbursement
- Prepare and maintain fixed assets, expense accruals and prepaid schedules
- Assist Accounting Manager in the completion of annual statutory financial statement and tax audits
Requirements:
- Part qualified – qualified ACCA/CIMA
- Knowledge and understanding of internal controls
- 3 years' experience in general ledger account
- Proficient with MS Work, MS Excel, MS Outlook
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work closely with and as part of the accounting team
- Capable of critical thinking and problem solving
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and directed
