Kitchen Porter Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Kitchen Porter at The Lodge at Glendorn. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our kitchen and food preparation areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all dishes, glassware, utensils, and equipment are washed and properly stored in a timely and efficient manner.
- Sort and prioritize soiled items for washing, and maintain a clean and organized dishroom area.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, and help to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or concerns to management, and maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and supplies.
- Collaborate with culinary staff to ensure seamless service and maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
- Participate in regular cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning equipment and surfaces.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, and maintain a clean and tidy appearance at all times.
- Develop and maintain a positive and professional attitude, and provide excellent customer service to guests and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for long periods of time.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures, and ability to follow established protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
