Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Aurora Fairway School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our children and young people with SEMH, ASD, and other complex needs to achieve their full potential in a safe and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and adjust learning activities as agreed with the teacher, reinforcing learning concepts and supporting students with their learning and wellbeing.
  • Support learning by arranging and providing resources for lessons and activities under the direction of the teacher or a more senior TA.
  • Under the guidance of a more senior TA or teacher, implement learning activities and experiences, aiming to support students in achieving their full potential in all areas of learning.

Requirements:

  • GCSE pass above C (or 4 in the new GCSE system) in English and Maths.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with SEN relevant to Provision.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing behaviour that challenges.
  • Experience working within education is advantageous.
  • Experience of working within a multi-cultural, inclusive setting.
