**Job Title:** Specialist Clinician for Complex Disorders

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for an Advanced Practitioner position in Speech and Language Therapy. We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team at Seddon Specialist Rehabilitation Unit, providing specialist care to patients with complex communication and swallowing disorders.

The role requires advanced clinical knowledge relevant to the care environment, evidence-based practice, and substantial experience working with adults with acquired swallowing and communication disorders. The successful candidate will work closely with a Band 7 clinician to manage patients/clients with complex conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individually tailored intervention programmes for patients with traumatic and life-changing diagnoses.
  • Provide specialist clinical advice, teaching, and training to other members of the multidisciplinary team regarding the management of patients.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation, communicating assessment and treatment results to appropriate disciplines.

**Estimated Salary:** £40,000-£50,000 per annum
