About the Role

We are recruiting freelance linguists to work with various public and private organisations across the UK.

Job Description

This role involves providing high-quality interpretation services in a range of settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private sectors. As a freelancer, you will have the flexibility to choose when and how much you work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services
  • Ensuring understanding after each sentence by checking with non-English speakers
  • Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
  • Handling highly confidential information
  • Liaising between service users and providers
Requirements
  • Fluent in English and another language
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered, or Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
Estimated Salary:

£25 per hour
