We're seeking an experienced Actuarial Manager to join our FS Advisory team at BDO UK. As a key member of our team, you'll provide expert advice on a wide range of actuarial issues, including assurance services, external and internal audit, corporate governance, and risk advisory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide actuarial expertise to clients across various industries, including London underwriters, Syndicates at Lloyd's, P&I clubs, and reinsurance companies.
  • Develop and implement actuarial models and solutions to address clients' needs and improve their financial performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of actuarial services and maintain high-quality relationships with clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends to provide informed advice to clients.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members to develop their actuarial skills and expertise.
Requirements:
  • Actuarial qualification (e.g., FIA, FIAA, or equivalent).
  • Strong technical actuarial knowledge, including experience with Solvency II, IFRS 17, and data analytics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proven planning and prioritizing skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • High standard of IT literacy, including proficiency in MS Excel and willingness to learn additional applications.
