Job Description

Job Title: Public Health Specialist - Evaluation Role

Location: Bangor, County Down

Estimated Salary: £58,000 per annum

This role involves evaluating parenting health resources in Wales, requiring a high level of expertise in Public Health.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting a mixed-methods process evaluation of the 'Every Child' parenting health information resources in Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct qualitative data collection through semi-structured interviews with midwives and health visitors.
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative survey data.
  • Ensure governance and ethical guidelines are incorporated into evaluation processes.
  • Collaborate with the Public Health Wales project team.
Required Skills

A significant qualified background within Public Health, ideally childhood.

Awareness of parenting health information from conception through to the early years.

Awareness of the political and health landscape in Wales.

Awareness/knowledge of the Welsh Language Legislation.
