We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at CV-Library in Luton, Bedfordshire.

Job Overview

This is a permanent position with a 39-hour week, Monday to Thursday from 8am to 5pm and Friday from 8am to 1:30pm.

The estimated salary for this role is £28,799.18 per annum, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to start their career in maintenance or facilities management.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining facilities and ensuring optimal working conditions through planned weekly and monthly activities such as waste management, water temperature recording, emergency lighting tests, etc.
  • Reactive repairs, minor building fabric repairs, decorating tasks, basic plumbing, carpentry, and office cleaning are key responsibilities.
  • Additional tasks involve general cleaning or janitorial duties, supporting external landscaping and cleaning, ad-hoc porterage duties, stock management, and housekeeping of facilities plant rooms and workshop.

  • To assist all trades within the team and through the correct training be able to complete tasks away from your core skills.
  • Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner.
  • Proactively walk the floors, reporting any maintenance or H&S issues to the helpdesk and appropriate manager.
