Imaging Scientist Opportunity

Carcinotech, a leading biotechnology company, is seeking an experienced Imaging Scientist to join their team. As an Imaging Scientist, you will play a crucial role in developing products and services for pharmaceutical and clinical research organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform immunofluorescent imaging on patient samples and 3D-printed tumors
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of frozen samples
  • Report results of QC assays and raise issues as they arise
  • Assist with routine cell culture maintenance as required
  • Keep an Electronic Lab Notebook (Benchling) updated and create reports when necessary
  • Contribute to internal development projects to advance Carcinotech's offering
  • Contribute to writing protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Contribute to regular lab maintenance, including cleaning, stock management, and equipment monitoring

Essential Criteria

Demonstrable experience in:

  • Drug testing
  • Immunofluorescent imaging
  • Immunohistochemistry with antibody staining
  • Histology techniques (sample processing, microtomy, cryotomy, H&E staining, and immunohistochemistry)
  • 3D cell culture work
  • Statistical data analysis interpretation and visualization (MS Excel essential, GraphPad Prism advantageous)
  • Advanced microscopy, image analysis, and 3D imaging
  • Proficiency in MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Diligent approach to data recording
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands
  • Creative approach to problem-solving
  • Proactive, friendly, approachable, and displays a positive attitude

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a quality environment (GLP/GMP)
  • Experience in analyzing patient databases, genetic, and bioinformatics data
  • Experience using/programming liquid handling robotics
