Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Oak Vale Gardens, a specialist neuro-rehabilitation service in Liverpool.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of communication and swallowing disorders in individuals with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing difficulties.
  • Provide consultation to the interdisciplinary team, contributing expertise to enhance overall patient care.
  • Collaborate closely with specialist Nurses, Rehabilitation staff, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation Consultants, Activities Coordinator, and Neuropsychology professionals.
Requirements
  • Recognized Speech and Language Therapy qualification.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Specialized training and experience in assessing and intervening in cases of complex communication, swallowing difficulties, and tracheostomy care.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
