Job Summary

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to strategic research and development goals. The successful applicant will be responsible for designing and executing cutting-edge R&D projects, prioritizing workloads, and coordinating scientific work streams and processes.

Key Skills

  • A PhD or equivalent experience in Molecular Biology, Virology, Biotechnology or similar discipline
  • Experience in design and execution of molecular biology based experiments (e.g. DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, cloning, gibson assembly, sequencing, transfections)
  • Planning, troubleshooting & hands-on execution of omics experiments (e.g. short-read / long-read sequencing, transcriptomics, primer / probe design)
  • Builds networks with other teams and external specialists
  • Evidence of impactful research experience through publications, patents and/or presentations at national/international conferences
  • Strong IT skills (including proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and comfort using shared drives
  • Experience with ONT sequencing and knowledge of good practice in bioinformatics (e.g. version control, reproducibility, pipeline management), data provenance and storage
  • In vivo oncology work experience

  • Competitive salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
