Job Responsibilities:
- Be the principal contact with many clients on day-to-day tax matters and work with managers, senior managers, directors, or partners on larger clients.
- Be involved in tax advisory and planning work on client portfolios and work with senior colleagues and specialists to deliver expertise to the local market.
- Assist with business development and attend client events.
- Review corporation tax computations and advise clients on computational treatment of contentious issues. Coordinate tax payments, loss relief, capital allowances, group relief, and other claims.
- Respond appropriately to client requests for other KPMG services. Coordinate multiple teams internally to provide a single point of contact for clients in delivering a comprehensive cross-tax offering.
- Delegate delivery of work to junior colleagues while maintaining control of quality and timetables.
- Coach and develop more junior members of staff.
- Maintain strong financial management of client accounts. Ensure fees are raised regularly and identify situations where overruns can be billed.
- Keep internal control records up to date and ensure compliance with quality control procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualified (ACA/ACCA or CTA or equivalent).
- Sound knowledge of UK corporate taxation.
- Sound knowledge of accountancy principles, particularly accounting for tax (including deferred taxation and accounts disclosures).
- Strong time and task management skills. Able to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Sustain a high level of drive, show enthusiasm, and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work.
- Monitor and uphold high quality of service and products to clients (internal and external).
- A practical approach to problems with client focus and commercial awareness.
- Take personal responsibility and accountability for own work. Continuously learn from experiences. Seek out feedback and development opportunities.
- Ability to build good relationships with clients.
- Communicate with impact in a way that is open, honest, consistent, and clear.
- Ability to work as part of a team. Give clear directions, positive and constructive feedback. Coach less experienced staff.
- Work in a cooperative, respectful manner with colleagues, clients, and the wider community.

We are open to discussing this role with talented individuals across the country. Our core hubs for this team are Gatwick, London, Watford, Milton Keynes, and Cambridge. This position will be based in the London region, ideally in London. We have 20 sites across the UK, and we can facilitate office work, working from home, flexible hours, and part-time options.
