Legal Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Manager to join our team at McKenzie Douglas In-House Recruitment. As a key member of our legal and IP team, you will play a critical role in leading contract negotiation, advising, and drafting complex, high-value contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on contract negotiation, advising, and drafting complex, high-value contracts, including supply, research, collaboration, IP, and public sector terms.
  • Manage legal support on large-scale national and international research projects.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Legal and other team members to achieve business objectives.
  • Provide expert legal advice to senior management and well-respected scientists.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience working for a business, public sector, or law firm in the UK as a legal adviser handling complex commercial legal advice and drafting/negotiating UK commercial contracts.
  • Law degree or other legal qualification.
  • Some experience with IP law would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Able to work at a senior level advising senior management and well-respected scientists.
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressured, time-critical environment as an integral part of a supportive legal and IP team.
