Secretary General Opportunity

The World Pharmacy Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Secretary General. This is a part-time contract position based in Europe or the UK, requiring flexibility around workload and travel.

About the Role

The Secretary General will be responsible for managing the Council's business functions, including the development and implementation of the strategic plan, commercial and financial operations, research, and member services. This will involve working closely with the team, contractors, and the Board to achieve the organization's mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the strategic plan to drive the organization's growth and success
  • Manage the commercial and financial operations, including budgeting and financial reporting
  • Lead research initiatives to inform the organization's decision-making
  • Provide member services, including events and meetings
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the OECD and WHO
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy, pharmaceuticals, or a related field, with experience in facilitating transformational change agendas and stakeholder engagement. They will have a proven track record of driving business growth and success, with a strong understanding of the complexity of healthcare systems and the evolving role of community pharmacy.
