Account Executive Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team in the Newcastle area. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the Life Sciences sector.

Your main focus will be on selling scientific instruments, consumables, and software to clients in the Northeast of England. You will work closely with our commercial divisions to exchange account information and sales leads.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year's experience in a field-based sales role, selling equipment and/or consumables or services to the Life Sciences or Analytical Chemistry sector. A degree-level qualification in a Biological, Biochemistry, Chemistry/Analytical Science discipline is also essential.

About the Role
  1. You will take ownership of an exciting territory that has grown exponentially year on year, with numerous blue-chip high-value clients across various sectors.
  2. As the dedicated Account Manager for Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry instruments, consumables & software, you will maintain and enter accurate customer data and sales project information into our sales database.
  3. You will be responsible for attending and supporting trade shows, user meetings, customer seminars, and other customer events.
  4. When required, you will assist in the yearly planning of our future financial performance by providing insight into prospects for growth in your territory.
  5. You will work cooperatively with colleagues in scientific sales and service groups to ensure high customer satisfaction with our products and services.
Requirements
  1. 1+ year's experience in a field-based Sales/Account Manager/Business Development role selling Life Sciences or Analytical Chemistry equipment and/or consumables or services.
  2. Internal sales experience in the Life Sciences/Analytical Chemistry sector will also be considered if you are motivated to progress into a Field Sales role.
  3. Educated to Degree level (BSc/MSc/PhD) qualification in either a Biological, Biochemistry, Chemistry/Analytical Science discipline.
  4. Ability to identify new target accounts each year and develop territory plans.
  5. Valid UK driving license and passport with full right to work in the UK without any restrictions or sponsorship requirements.
