We are seeking an experienced Composite Design Engineer to join our client's team on a contract basis in Buckinghamshire. As a key member of the design team, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative composite components for high-performance motorsports applications.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet all requirements, including structural, performance, and reliability standards. Your strong understanding of composite materials, lay-up techniques, and manufacturing processes will enable you to create high-quality components that meet the needs of the project.

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in a relevant subject such as Mechanical Engineering or Automotive/Motorsports, as well as advanced user skills in CAD (Siemens NX). Familiarity with DEA and structural analysis principles is also desirable.

Job Description:Role Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge composite design projects in the motorsports industry. As a Composite Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing composite components using CAD software, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring designs meet all requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop composite components using CAD (Siemens NX)
  • Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: aerodynamicists, stress analysts, and manufacturing engineers
  • Ensure designs meet all requirements: structural, performance, and reliability
  • Conducting design reviews and contributing to continuous improvement
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in a relevant subject (Mechanical Engineering/Automotive/Motorsports)
