Logistic Stores Team Leader

Serco is recruiting for a Logistic Team Leader within the stores area at the Defence Academy. We are looking for someone who ideally has some experience of working within a Military background.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Line Manager Duties and responsibilities for the lead storekeepers and storekeepers under his line management.
  • Deputise for the Senior Stores Supervisor during leave and absence.
  • Responsible for ensuring the monthly auditable returns have been completed and submitted on time.
  • Unit Application Administrator (UAA) for the Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI).
  • Responsible for the ensuring all MJDI management checks are processed.
  • Attendance at the Logistics Monthly Management meetings as required.
  • Responsible for briefing his staff on current Serco and Logistics Issues.
  • Receive, Issue, Control and Account for all equipment and stores within the Defence Academy and Lodger Units in accordance with current regulations.
  • Disposal of equipment in accordance with current regulations.

What you'll need to do the role:

  • Management of Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) Trained (desirable)
  • Some Military stores experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Able to work individually as well as part of a team.
  • Good organisational skills

The Defence Academy sits within a beautiful and secure site which hosts 2 lakes and is surrounded by acres of scenic woodland.
