Senior Clinical Fellow in Diabetes and Endocrinology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Clinical Fellow in Diabetes and Endocrinology to join our team at the Royal Free Hospital in London.
The successful candidate will work as a Trust Doctor (ST3+ equivalent) and provide care for patients designated to a Consultant/team at ward level, receiving support and training from both SpRs and Consultant staff.
This is an ideal opportunity for a trainee with CMT experience to gain more experience in Diabetes and Endocrinology, providing excellent preparation for a candidate considering an application for Diabetes and Endocrinology specialty training.
The post holder will participate in diabetes and endocrine inpatient ward rounds and outpatient diabetes and endocrine clinics, as well as take part in the Trust Acute on-call rota.
Main Responsibilities- Provide care of acute inpatients under the guidance of senior staff, including assisting Consultants at outpatient clinics and participating in the acute medical on-call rota.
- Supervise F1, F2, IMT, and GP training Junior Doctors.
- Provide teaching to nursing and/or ancillary staff and undergraduate students.
- Participate in the medical registrar acute on-call rota.
- Attend monthly Directorate of Medicine meetings, including audit.
- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values.
- GMC registration.
- Full MRCP or equivalent.
- Intercalated BSc or equivalent.
- Higher degrees, including MSc, PhD, or MD (where the research thesis is not part of the first medical degree).
- Experience in a range of acute medical specialties, managing patients on unselected medical take during core training or equivalent.
- Experience at CT/ST 1/2-level of managing patients within an acute medical specialty.
- Fixed-term contract.
- 12 months duration.
- Full-time working pattern.
- Salary: £61,825 per annum inclusive of HCAS.
