Health and Safety Specialist

BYLOR Joint Venture is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Health & Safety Manager in implementing health and safety regulations, legislation, and policies across the organization.
- Guide project teams in the implementation of the Bylor behavioural programme and provide robust HS&E advice and coaching.
- Conduct inspections and audits to identify hazards and deficiencies, and develop effective risk management strategies.
- Investigate incidents and produce comprehensive reports to address underlying issues.
- Ensure compliance with Bylor's safety management systems (SMS) and identify corrective actions where necessary.
- Communicate key HSE project risks and solutions to project teams.
- Assess subcontractors and input into work-winning tenders.
- Develop and implement behavioural tools as part of a continuous improvement cycle.
- Relevant experience in Health & Safety within a construction environment.
- Environmental knowledge to support the Bylor environmental agenda.
- Understanding of HSE&E legislation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work within a team environment.
- Ability to coach a team in key HSE project risks.
- Professional image and commitment to promoting the values of the project.
- Commitment to working to processes and minimizing waste in resources and materials.
- Recognized HSE qualifications.
- NEBOSH.
