About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Leeds. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant machinery, managing engineering projects from concept to completion, and liaising with external contractors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in a team of engineers to maintain and improve plant machinery
  • Manage engineering projects from concept to completion
  • Liaise with external contractors and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Optimise machinery performance to increase plant efficiency
  • Train and develop team members
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance strategies
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs

Requirements

  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing machinery and processes
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Experience managing engineering projects
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • A proactive approach to machine optimisation
