Job DescriptionJob Summary

The Senior Production Engineer will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects focused on implementing new plant installations, enhancing automation, and ensuring the completion of all maintenance tasks.

This position requires leadership of an engineering team, with responsibilities including managing internal workloads and coordinating with external contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management

    • Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

    • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these plans
  2. Plant and Machinery Installation

    • Oversee the installation of plant and machinery, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards

    • Coordinate with internal and external teams to troubleshoot and resolve installation issues

    • Develop and implement preventative maintenance
  3. Contractor Management

    • Evaluate, select, and manage contractors for engineering projects

    • Ensure that contractors adhere to project specifications, timelines, and quality standards

    • Resolve issues and conflicts with contractors in a timely and effective manner
  4. Engineering Team Management

    • Build and lead a high-performing engineering project team

    • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members

    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and learning and development

    • Identify and support team members' professional development needs, including conducting 1-2-1 reviews and providing constructive feedback
  5. Working Cross-Functionally

    • Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment of engineering project goals with overall company objectives

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and coordinate with different teams to implement changes
Required Skills and Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline would be advantageous.

Further education and/or training in project management is preferred.
